One Song You Must Hear: "Go All The Way" by The Raspberries.

One of the songs that started a life-long love affair with Power Pop

R.I.P., singer/songwriter/guitarist Eric Carmen. Carmen had solo hits ("All By Myself," "Hungry Eyes") but before that he was in The Raspberries, responsible for an absolutely immense influence on Power Pop. Their biggest "hit" is one of those songs I'll never tire of, and still sounds fresh and fun today. Those soaring vocals over cruncy guitars and an ear candy hook hit me right away in the 70's, probably in the back of my mom's 1970 Chevrolet Impala station wagon. This and a few other songs, started it all for me.
